The Orchard Internship Interest 2024-2025

Thank you for your interest in the Pastoral Internship with The Orchard Church of Waynesville. There are over 60,000 people living in Haywood County and less than 10% of them are followers of Jesus and active in a local church. The need is great! Serving at The Orchard can be an incredible experience and there are many opportunities for spiritual growth, to gain ministry experience, and provide great help for The Orchard in ministry. This is done by being involved in ministry activities (such as kids ministry, student ministry, college ministry, evangelism, prayer, Bible teaching and more) along with the various ministry teams at The Orchard. Interns also have opportunities to experience what ministry looks like each day. 

Interns typically serve for 1 year or 3 months depending on the arrangements that are made. Interns will participate in staff meetings, select leadership meetings, help with ministry planning, and will have the chance to learn valuable insights from our ministry leaders. Interns will meet regularly for personal growth and spiritual development. Interns will be assigned to work with one of our ministries within The Orchard and will be encouraged to develop relationships with those who attend that ministry, and will work closely with the pastor(s)/minister(s).

Interns will serve an average of 25 hours per week, this can be adjusted based on the activities of the church, all of the hours should be worked out with the Missions Pastor and/or executive leadership team.
